Hathaway Day Resources

Celebrate Hathaway Day is November 16!

Use #HathawayDay and #HathawayWyo to celebrate the scholarship!

Please take a few minutes out of your day to congratulate students on pursuing their Hathaway Scholarship. The Wyoming Department of Education has developed printable resources, informational videos and a 2023-24 bookmark contest to help promote Hathaway Day in your school and classrooms. All Hathaway Day resources can be found below

The bookmark contest is open to all Wyoming K-6 grade classrooms and challenges students to draw what they want to be when they grow up. Individual bookmark submissions will enter  the student’s whole classroom into a Hathaway swag drawing! At the close of the contest, student artwork will be selected, printed and shared with school libraries around the state of Wyoming.

Hathaway Day Bookmark Contest Rules:

  1. Dream, Design & Submit!
  2. Completed by a Wyoming student in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade.

There are certificates which can be given to sixth-grade students to encourage them to start working toward the Hathaway Scholarship, as well as posters which point students of all ages to more information on the scholarship program.

Informational Videos

Snapchat / Instagram / TikTok

TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram stickers were created to celebrate Wyoming’ s Hathaway Scholarship. Share these stickers with your students and encourage them to use on social media. Students can share a photo or video and proclaim their intent to pursue postsecondary education, what they hope to become after they graduate high school, or share where they plan to use their scholarship.

Find these stickers by searching HathawayWyo. Make sure to make posts public and use #HathawayDay and #HathawayWyo.
