You’re an important part of your student’s journey to getting the Hathaway Scholarship for college, and we love that you’re here.

With your help and support (and maybe a few loving reminders along the way), your student will be well on their way toward getting up to $2,360 per semester at a Wyoming college… for free!

Here’s how you can help make it happen.

Understand Their Eligibility

Just by being a Wyoming student—whether they’re in high school, doing homeschool, or working to complete a High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC)—your student is already qualified to receive free money for college from the Hathaway Scholarship.

How much money, however, depends on a combination of factors, which differ from high school, to home school, to HSEC.

Check In With Your Student’s School Counselor

Not only is this a valuable conversation for you to have as a parent—with opportunities to ask the counselor as many questions as you can think of!—it’s also a great way to get an idea of:

  • Which Hathaway Success Curriculum (PDF) classes your student needs to take each year of middle and high school
  • The GPA your student needs to maintain each year of high school to reach their desired scholarship level
  • Ways you can support your student in reaching their goals
