Applying to Wyoming Colleges

Here’s what you need to know before you apply to the Wyoming colleges listed below.

Casper College (CC)

  • Learn more here
  • Admissions applications are due at least one week before course registration.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to CC.
  • HSEC recipients: send a copy of HSEC certificate or scores to CC.
  • Proof of MMR immunization must be provided before students will be allowed to register for courses.
  • Send ACT or SAT scores which are used for math and English course placement.

Central Wyoming College (CWC)

  • Learn more here
  • There is no admissions application deadline.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to CWC.
  • HSEC recipients: send a copy of HSEC certificate or scores to CWC.
  • Send ACT or SAT scores (not required but encouraged) for course placement OR complete a Compass Test.

Eastern Wyoming College (EWC)

  • Admissions applications are due one month before course registration.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to EWC.
  • Send ACT or SAT scores (not required but encouraged).

 

Laramie County Community College (LCCC)

  • Learn more here
  • There is no admissions application deadline.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to LCCC.
  • GED recipients: send copy of GED certificate or scores to LCCC.
  • Send ACT scores (minimum scores of 21 for Reading, English, and Math required). If you don’t have an ACT score, you will need to complete an Academic Skills Assessment. If your ACT scores don’t meet LCCC’s minimums, you’ll need to complete a Placement Test.

Northern Wyoming Community College District: Sheridan College

  • Learn more here
  • There is no admissions application deadline.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to Sheridan College.
  • ACT scores may be used for course placement or you may be required to complete Math and English placement exams.
  • Special admissions criteria is required for Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Massage Therapy, Diesel Technology, and Welding programs.

Northern Wyoming Community College District: Gillette College

  • Learn more here
  • There is no admissions application deadline.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to Gillette College.
  • GED recipients: send copy of GED certificate or scores to Gillette College.
  • ACT scores may be used for course placement or you may be required to complete Math and English placement exams.

Northwest College (NWC)

  • There is no admissions application deadline, although students are encouraged to apply at least two months prior to the semester in which they plan to enroll.
  • Students are notified of acceptance within two weeks of submitting a completed application.
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to NWC.
  • GED recipients: send copy of GED certificate or scores to NWC.
  • Send ACT or SAT scores (not required but encouraged).

Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC)

University of Wyoming (UW)

  • Admissions application Fee of $40 (Fee waivers available. Contact UW Admissions for info).
  • Have your high school send your official transcripts directly to UW.
  • For assured admission, applicants need to complete a high school Success Curriculum and meet certain minimum GPA and ACT requirements; however, UW does individually consider each applicant for admission with support.
  • GED recipients must be at least 18 years old and have an average score of at least 550 on the GED test with no individual score below 500 plus GED applicants less than 21 years old must submit ACT or SAT scores.
